Caroline Stovall is the Managing Director and Founder of Great Northern Advisory. In her role as Managing Director, Caroline is responsible for the overseeing of the firm’s engagements, people management and strategic vision of the firm. Caroline is a resolute finance and operations executive focused on solving problems, navigating change, and streamlining business operations.
Caroline has over twenty five years of domestic and international experience in public and private accounting, finance, and operational positions. Caroline is known to those around her as a driver of change and a strategic thinker with an eye for practical implementation.Her background has led her to serve Fortune 500, portfolio, and start-up companies across a wide range of industries which include but not limited to Healthcare, Technology, Telecommunications, Energy and Manufacturing. Caroline has led and completed projects across a wide variety of types and complexities including centralizing the accounting function of large companies and creating of Shared Services Centers where needed, acquisition Integration including opening balance sheet preparation and purchase accounting efforts, IPO readiness and preparation, carve-out accounting, including US GAAP to IFRS conversion, interim CFO and Controller for multiple Private Equity Portfolio Companies, strategic projects related to organizational restructuring and system implementations.
Prior to founding Great Northern Advisory, Caroline served clients through Industry roles and Consulting and Professional Services firms after making the move from Manchester, England. Prior to that, Caroline worked at KPMG and BDO on large international and highly technical audits and completed a two year rotation in the National Technical Department for KPMG in London. Frank Orlowski is an accounting and operations specialist with over 25 years of global leadership experience. He has an expertise in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Compliance and Controls, acquisition diligence, international expansion and audit readiness. Frank has managed large global financial and operating teams (>100) while overseeing the Pfizer Global Manufacturing Emerging Markets and Transition Sites. He has significant international operational experience, specifically in Algiers, Argentina, Brazil, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Russian, Saudi Arabia Singapore, Turkey, Tunisia, UAE and Venezuela.
Frank was a transformational Pfizer leader developed operational and financial strategies for global supply chain and manufacturing, reporting directly to the VP of Finance for Manufacturing (direct report of CFO of Pfizer Inc.) and Regional Vice President of Operations for manufacturing in Asia, Africa/ the Middle East and South America. He was responsible for a $1.1 billion of global spend where he plays a leadership role in all aspects of forecasting, budgeting, cash flow reporting, and actual results.
He has had extensive experience with senior government officials, country management, and economic boards in India, Japan, Australia, China, and Turkey, as well as presentations to Pfizer’s Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Through his company’s major acquisitions of Warner-Lambert, Pharmacia and Wyeth Frank has developed and implemented integrated organizational infrastructure, processes, and systems. He has also played a leadership role with country-specific acquisitions outside the USA working with international third-party investment banking groups and other international financial institutions.
Frank obtained his MBA with a concentration in Finance and Financial Information Systems from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Accounting from Providence College. As a seasoned Volunteer and Board Member, Frank is a North East Region Board Member of The American Cancer Society.CONTACT
Chad Zoretic is a Managing Director at Great Northern Advisory. In his role as Managing Director, Chad is responsible for overseeing the firm’s transaction advisory engagements, people management, and strategic vision for the transaction advisory practice. Chad has over twenty years of experience and has been involved in over three-hundred transactions to-date as a financial professional. He has spent his career providing strategic transaction advisory (buy-side/sell-side due diligence, Quality of Earnings), turnaround advisory, crisis management, interim financial and operational management services. Chad’s client base consists of both strategic and private equity clients evaluating acquisition targets, developing and implementing operational improvement plans for their post-acquisition environments. Chad’s experience is wide-spread throughout many specialties including but not limited to, Chemical Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Medical Device Manufacturers, Biotech, Automotive Manufacturers and Logistics.
Throughout his career Chad has led and completed projects across a wide variety of types and complexities, both domestic and international and has provided sell-side due diligence to Fortune 50 companies for $1bn divestures, involved heavily in turn around advisory, crisis management, interim financial and operational management including CFO’s of Private Equity backed portfolio companies, provided remedy solutions on mega-mergers and managed international due diligence efforts in China, United Kingdom, Europe, India, Mexico and South America.
Prior to joining Great Northern Advisory, Chad has been in client service for most of his career including many years at Ernst & Young and PwC. He also has had operational experience at multiple large Pharmaceutical and health services companies. Tom Brunton is a Senior Director at Great Northern Advisory. In his role as Senior Director, Tom is responsible for executing and managing a variety of technical and operational accounting client engagements. He brings 12 years of experience in accounting, Big 4 and industry roles. He has experience in the technical application of new accounting literature including ASC 606: Revenue Recognition and ASC 842: Leases in evaluation and implementation roles for both public and private entities.
Tom has assisted Companies through carve-out transactions, including converting the books and records of a DAX 30 industrial company division from IFRS to US GAAP for the close and preparing for an IPO. Tom has performed in operational roles including performing as the interim Assistant Controller for a Fortune 50 subsidiary. He has supported Companies with their financial reporting, process improvement and implementations, financial close accelerations, audit preparation and financial modeling needs.
Prior to joining Great Northern Advisory, Tom spent several years in Consulting, Big 4 Accounting firm and Professional Services firms after making the move from England to study and play soccer at College. He worked at PwC and served private, public and portfolio clients in both Consulting and at PwC.
He has significant experience across the SaaS, Building Products, and Telecommunications industries among others. Cecilia Eugenio is a Senior Directory at Great Northern Advisory. In her role as Senior Director, she delivers and oversees client engagements. She has over 25 years of experience in both industry and consulting roles for both public and private companies. She has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting, finance, internal audit, and management consulting. Her experience includes the design and implementation of SOX-compliant systems for internal control, financial reporting, month end close, revenue recognition, standing up carve-outs, acquisition integration, controllership, strategy & planning, cost reduction, due diligence, procurement and cash management in industries, including but not limited to; Healthcare, SaaS, Technology, Manufacturing and Financial Services.
Throughout her career, Cecilia has led and completed a wide variety of projects of varying complexity for both domestic and international companies such as implemented in accounting and finance such as developed and implemented the policy and improved the process to identify future and unbilled performance obligations for disclosure in the SEC filings in compliance to ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition, and recommended system changes to automate the capture of information of unbilled performance obligations. She has also backfilled a number of Controller and VP positions while streamlining the close process, the reconciliation process and reduced the number of close days, audit preparation and management, cash to accrual conversions for acquisitions and process improvement and documentation for companies of all sizes. Clients love working with Cecilia as she is a great leader and team player can hit the ground running and add value on day one.
Prior to joining Great Northern Advisory, Cecilia spent several years in industry serving a variety of operational and executive roles. Cecilia received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Texas at Dallas and her MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas and is a CPA in the state of Texas.
Debra has over 25 years of domestic and international operational accounting and consulting experience across a variety of industries including Communications, Manufacturing and Retail, Restaurant and Hospitality, Not-for-profit, Datacenters, and Healthcare. Debra’s background helps her to improve processes, assist in accounting clean-up, provide clear, objective insights into the practical application of tasks related to the accounting and finance cycle. Clients enjoy working with her due to her innate ability to communicate effectively and collaborate. She has worked in start-up environments, Fortune 50 subsidiaries, private equity portfolio companies, and everywhere in between during her career. • Audit preparation and management for Restaurant/Bar operations group (23 locations) of their first audit in 10+ year Company life. Project included complete review of general ledger books to meet GAAP requirements, preparation of all audit schedules and liaison to Auditors
• Interim Director-Revenue Services for Subsidiary of Fortune 50 public company managing over 30 staff/ team members
• Cash to Accrual Conversion, audit preparation and managed audit, final sale price calculation based on audited financials, purchase price accounting, opening balance sheets and integration into the practice accounting group division
• Supported the efforts to raise capital via the securitization of non-secured loans in a public offering
• Process improvement as Interim Global Senior Manager for Fortune 50 subsidiary managing operations for 12 countries during accelerated growth phase of the Company – added a new country each month to be centralized
• Restated 4 years of financials for a large medical center that was deemed unauditable; fully reconciled the general ledger and prepared all audit schedules and liaised with the auditors

Kristi Jacks is a Senior Director at Great Northern Advisory. In her role as Senior Director, Kristi is primarily responsible for project management and serving the firm’s clients on delivery engagements and overseeing client engagements. Kristi has over 15 years of experience and a background in accounting, consulting, financial planning, IT system implementations, budgeting and forecasting, shared services operations, and project management together with practical industry experience including implementing internal controls. She has experience in many industries, including but not limited to, Manufacturing, SaaS, Healthcare, Technology. Throughout her career Kristi has experience working with critical decision makers working in high-pressured situations requiring judgement and flexibility, some of which are highlighted below:

Jason Roberts is a Senior Director at Great Northern Advisory. In his role as Senior Director, Jason is responsible for leading and delivering projects with a focus on Financial Planning and Analysis. He has 20 years of experience in both Industry and Consulting roles. He has experience in many industries including but not limited to, Oil and Gas, Energy, Logistics, Hospitality, Manufacturing, SaaS, Financial Services, Healthcare and Insurance.
Jason works across the full range of Finance responsibilities, with a focus on forecasting, modeling, strategy, and reporting. He has worked with companies ranging from Fortune 50 companies to small start-ups. Jason’s past work includes financial modeling, budgeting, reporting, systems implementations, treasury and cash management, project management and both sell-side and buy-side M&A. He has served clients as an interim CFO, VP of Finance, and VP of Strategy. Jason prides himself on his attention to detail and track record of delivering excellent results.
Before joining Great Northern Advisory, Jason spent 10 years serving clients with a Dallas based consulting firm on a wide range of projects. Jason was a leader in an FP&A practice in Consulting and in Industry and spent his time building the back offices of companies of all sizes. Prior to becoming a consultant Jason worked in several industries in Finance, Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy. Adam Sanderson is a Senior Director at Great Northern Advisory. In his role as Senior Director Adam delivers and oversees client engagements. He brings over 20 years of experience as a Financial Leader with background in consulting across the Financial Services, Energy, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas and Real Estate industries. He is accomplished in financial modeling, data analysis, management and reporting and restructuring/turnaround efforts. He is a subject matter expert in leasing and ASC 842 – Leases. Adam excels in finding client’s value by leveraging the Companies existing data to provide operational and back-office efficiencies. Some highlights include:

Tawny Schaffer is a Senior Director and leads Great Northern Advisory’s healthcare practice. She has over thirty years of experience in public and private accounting, finance, and operational positions. Tawny is an entrepreneurial minded finance and operations executive focused on solving problems, navigating change, and streamlining business operations. Her background has led her to serve Fortune 500, non-profit, governmental, portfolio, and start-up companies.
Throughout her career Tawny has led and completed a wide variety of projects in healthcare accounting and finance with a focus on project management, ERP implementations, audit preparation, cash to accrual conversion, interim management, acquisition integration and transactional related project such as spin-offs, start-ups and subsequent capital raises. She has served clients as an interim Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance, and Chief Accounting Officer. Dana Brenneman is a Director at Great Northern Advisory. In her role as Director, Dana is primarily responsible for serving the firm’s clients on delivery engagements. Dana has 20 years of experience of domestic and international experience in public and private companies. Her background has led her to serve , portfolio, and start-up companies across a wide range of industries which include Broadcast Media, SaaS, Information Technology and Services, Pharmaceutical and Retail.
Throughout her career Dana has led and completed projects across a wide variety of types and complexities, some of which are preparing a 13 week rolling cash flow forecast to clarify a company’s liquidity, completed contractual reviews to assess impacts for ASC 606: Revenue Recognition and ASC 842: Leases, multi-element , multi-year deal negotiations and pipeline revenue recognition analysis, FP&A including close accelerations, consolidation, financial reporting & analysis, capital spend forecasting, budgeting, Assistant Controller of Technology Services, American and International audit responses and audit preparation, strategic product line valuations, system implementations.

Tina Edgar is a Director at Great Northern Advisory. In her role Director, Tina is primarily responsible for project management and serving the firm’s clients on delivery engagements. Tina has over twenty years of domestic and international experience in public and private accounting, finance and operational positions. Tina is known to those around her as a technical advisor and strategic thinker with an eye for practical implementation. Sarah Flume is a Director at Great Northern Advisory. In her role as Director, Sarah is responsible for executing and managing a variety of technical and operational accounting engagements. She has experience in many industries included but not limited to Oil and Gas, Healthcare, Financial Services and Asset Management . She brings 12 years of experience in accounting, Big 4 audit and industry roles. Sarah has broad SOX and internal control experience after building on her time in Public Accounting with KPMG. Jon Hicks is a Director at Great Northern Advisory. His role as Director includes delivery and oversight of client engagements. Jon has experience in many industries included but not limited to, financial services, technology, manufacturing, SaaS industries. He brings 12 years of experience in accounting, Big 4 audit and industry roles. Jon has broad SOX and internal control experience after building on his time in Public Accounting with PwC. He has led the design and implementation of SOX-compliant Internal Controls within public companies, led the implementations of systems, reconciliations, FP&A and has led the accounting department of a $100M private consumer lender.
Some highlights include the development of improved financial reporting processes and decreased close times, financial analysis and executive updates for company with multiple locations and multiple lines of business, development of De Novo portfolio lending models including multi state structures, compensation modeling and review, cashflow management for multiple entities, SOX implementation and oversight for multiple $3B public companies and strategic project related to changing business environment.

He spent the early part of his career serving clients with a Dallas based consulting firm and with PwC. He has extensive experience within the financial services industry including consumer lending, private equity and venture capital. Stephen McCaffrey is a Director for Great Northern Advisory. Stephen drives focus on creating shareholder value and positively impacting the top and bottom line leveraging his experiences in strategy finance and modeling, process reengineering, deal shaping and cost optimization.
Stephen has 10 years of experience in consulting, finance, and military leadership. His background has enabled him to be effective in leading cross-functional projects, including multi-vendor scenarios, with consistent focus on business optimization solutions. Prior projects include:
•Financial lead for RFP negotiation to upgrade and migrate a Fortune 50’s entire US network; a dynamic financial model to quantify and visualize suppliers’ bids for down select process and transitioned into the deployment phase forecast model, three-year net deal of $52MM
•Reengineering Order-to-Payment process between Fortune 50 company and its Managed Network Service provider, alleviating 14MM annual liability and reducing AR/AP days outstanding respectively
•Collaborated with IT to consolidate three diverse ERP environments, creating data integrity, then integrated SalesForce and Tableau to provide enhanced business intelligence and streamlined reporting
•Develop planning models/tools such as Network Asset Currency to predict cost and rate of hardware refresh cycle and Customer Trend Analysis to project seasonality of future sales, COGS, and SKU production forecast

Dan Mock is a Director at Great Northern Advisory. In his role as Director, Dan is focused on the delivery and oversight of client engagements. Dan has experience in many industries included but not limited to; Healthcare, High Tech, Oil and Gas and Professional Services. He brings 15 years of experience from the military and consulting. He has a broad experience in improving the finance function, from detailed financial modeling to high level planning. His primary expertise is in the areas of financial deal shaping, process improvement, profit optimization, cost reduction and financial analysis.
Dan has worked with companies ranging from Fortune 50 to regional entities and across multiple industries. He has experience identifying inefficient processes, reducing timelines, attaining higher levels of accuracy and increasing profitability. Dan has also worked with clients to build sound financial models, analyze profitability assumptions, and enhance business partnering capabilities, as well as project managing Change Management Strategies.
Prior to joining Great Northern Advisory, Dan worked in both consulting and internal finance at Accenture. Prior to Accenture, Dan was an infantry leader in the United States Army with multiple combat deployments to Iraq.
